Oriflame Cosmetics has named local musician Juliana Kanyomozi to represent its brand across Uganda.
Juliana is widely popular artist and winner of several awards. She will be joined by two other celebrities.
Lady Jaydee and Jamila Mbugua will do the same in Tanzania and Kenya respectively.
The Swedish cosmetics company wants to increase its presence in East Africa. Oriflame East Africa Managing Director, Klas Kronaas, said they had brought on board authentic brand evangelists who are as passionate about the brand as the company is to nature-inspired beauty products through network marketing, people, culture and world class service.
“Juliana Kanyomozi, Lady Jaydee and Jamila have been named, because of their style and approach to beauty which is the ideal representation for the Oriflame brand. They are strong and talented women who many people across East Africa readily identify with,” Kronaas said.
Oriflame East Africa Head of Marketing and Sales Support, Harry Njagi said the three brand ambassadors will feature in Oriflame’s product catalogues.
They will also be engaged in selected brand events to represent the Oriflame brand throughout the year 2014. The partnership will also extend to joint Corporate Social Responsibility activities with the celebrities.
Njagi said, “Our products – inspired by nature are very popular with women of all ages across East Africa, especially owing to the fact that we have the widest range in personal care and the signing of these three passionate women is expected to deepen our market access and increase our brand visibility.”
Njagi said Oriflame provides opportunities for ordinary people to make money and grow their careers while looking great and having fun. “Our driving force is to make beauty uncomplicated and natural,” he said.
