“The world will be saved by the Western woman”. 
The Dalai Lama uttered these words at the Vancouver Peace Summit in 2009, and now a group of successful female entrepreneurs have taken up the challenge with a vengeance.    
March 16th, 2015 is the launch of “Women United for Change”, a new movement led by women business owners with the goal to transform the lives of thousands of women in developing countries.
Although scattered across the world, the women behind this movement have one thing in common; each has transformed herself (and her financial situation) by building a business of her own (specifically in the network marketing / direct sales profession).
Many of these gals left corporate or professional careers to become entrepreneurs, attracted by the opportunity to make more money, have more time freedom and the option to work from home (especially important to young moms wanting quality time with their kids).
The Women United for Change movement was born from their desire to “pay it forward” and help other women experience the benefits and lifestyle changes that come from building a successful business. Investing in women is exactly what the Women United for Change movement is all about. The leaders involved have already secured over $100,000 in committed funding for PCI’s program (even before their official launch) and they are positioned to raise a lot more.  
The network marketing/direct sales business model is based on developing large networks of customers and team members. Each of the founding leaders behind Women United for Change has such a large network in place (collectively their current reach totals over 500,000 women – and they have plans to leverage other contacts and the internet to connect with many more).

Jeunesse Closes Out February With Record $65 Million In Sales

Jeunesse welcomes over 81,000 new Distributors in February. The company continues to surpass previous records, remaining steady on a path of unprecedented sales growth.
The company has just announced an astounding $65 million in sales revenue during the month of February, boosting combined sales figures for January and February up 148% over those months in the previous year.
This new peak in sales revenue occurred just two months after the company’s previous record month in December, 2014, when Jeunesse achieved $61 million in sales and added more than 68,000 new distributors.
The latest announcement also revealed that Jeunesse added a total of 81,252 new distributors in February alone, with over 8,000 new distributors joining on the final day of the month.
Significant growth in the US and Canada markets was particularly noteworthy. Sales revenue in both countries was up over 500% in February, 2015, over the same month in 2014.
These figures signal a promising start for 2015, the company’s sixth year in business.

Tables Turn: The FBI Is Investigating Bill Ackman And His Campaign Against Herbalife

The FBI and federal prosecutors are interviewing people related to hedge-fund manager Bill Ackman for potential Herbalife stock manipulation, reports The Wall Street Journal.
They've asked for documents related to the stock. Neither Ackman nor his hedge fund, Pershing Square, have been served with a subpoena.
Ackman has been publicly shorting Herbalife since December 2012. He has said that the multilevel-marketing nutrition firm is a pyramid scheme and that his hedge fund, Pershing Square, is shorting its stock to zero.
Here's The Journal on exactly what investigators are trying to figure out in this case:
Prosecutors in the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office and New York field office of the FBI have conducted interviews and sent document requests in recent months in connection with the investigation, which is looking into whether people, including some hired by Mr. Ackman, made false statements about Herbalife’s business model to regulators and others in order to spur investigations into the company and lower its stock price, the people said. Mr. Ackman’s firm, Pershing Square Capital Management LP, has made a huge bet on Herbalife shares declining.
One of the people familiar with the matter said investigators are scrutinizing public statements and allegations relayed to regulators by the array of consultants and activists who have lobbied against Herbalife as well as any connections or potential collaboration between those people and Pershing Square.
Add this investigation into Ackman's involvement with Herbalife to formal investigations already opened and ongoing by the SEC and FTC.
At issue in matters like this is whether Ackman intentionally and deliberately made false statements to affect Herbalife's stock price. Ackman has been open about his aggressive action on this matter, admitting that he paid an Herbalife whistleblower for going public about issues within the company at one point, but that isn't considered stock manipulation.
In a statement, Pershing Square told The Journal that it had acted transparently and fairly.
Herbalife's stock is up 5% in after-hours trading.

“75% Of Irelands Direct Sellers Are Female.”

Figures released from the Direct Selling Association of Ireland (DSAI) have revealed that 75pc of the industry’s 20,000 direct sellers are now female, while 30pc are stay-at-home mums.
Contributing €50m a year to the Irish economy, direct selling is where goods are sold direct to consumers outside of a fixed shop. 
Lynda Mills, director general of the DSAI, said: “There is a new type of female entrepreneur emerging in Ireland – women who are selling products they love and building really strong businesses through direct selling. 
“We are seeing more and more women being attracted to direct selling because it can fit so easily around other commitments – whether it’s children, education or another job.” 
The figures released by the DSAI are based on its survey of its member companies including Amway, Forever Living and Neal’s Yard Remedies. 
Pamela King, 39, from Dublin worked in technology in an investment bank for 15 years before taking voluntary redundancy and starting her own direct selling business with Neal’s Yard.  
With two young children she is able to run her business around her family commitments and enjoy flexible working.
Pamela says: “I love being my own boss and having ability to take my business where ever I want, and having that freedom of choice. I see so much opportunity to grow my business and am excited about the future.”

LiveSmart 360 Distributor Fined In Europe

LiveSmart 360 Distributor in Belgium was fined $1,200 by the belgium food authority for selling unregistered products. The company has not responded to the belgium distributor requesting corporate assistance, or has not satisfied his requests.
If a Direct Selling Company sells a supplement / product in USA, it does not mean that product is automatically allowed in other markets….
Europe has strict laws and basically companies needs Product Compliance if opening european countries.
If there is NO product compliance this can cause a lot of problems for independent distributors and fines up to $10,000 per case.
For example, in the EU LiveSmart 360 allows Distributors to join from across Europe, yet two years after initially expanding into the region only a few countries are completely registered and open.
In spite of this, the Company is touting yet more international expansion on it's website.
Despite distributors being fined and incomplete registrations in Europe, Latin America and elsewhere, LiveSmart 360 is still continuing to promote new countries according to this video:
We advise LiveSmart 360 distributors to check if the products are compliant in their local market, as it seems the company does not take action to do so.

Q – What drew you to Zija International?
A – The fact that the Founder is Mr. Ken Brailsford interested me the most. The company’s products are key because they attract consumers across the globe. The Weight Management System has been a key aspect as well, it helped me to grasp the market size and succeed. In his speech, “Days of Thunder,” Mr. Rodney Larsen, President and CEO, made a great comparison between the company and NASCAR. He said the Distributor is the driver, the company was the pit, and the corporate staff was the pit crew. They all work together to win the race to success. I like the company’s attitude on striving to continually develop better products.
Q – What types of people do you look for to join your Zija team?
A – I look for two things when recruiting people: those with whom I can sympathize and those who share the same values I hold dear.
Q – To what do you attribute your success thus far with Zija?
A – There are five things that have allowed me to experience success with Zija.
1. The efficacy of the products
2. The support of my family

A – To me, Life Unlimited means life with a clear goal, a purpose, and a dream. It also means, and brings me so much joy, that I can give back to society. My purpose of life is to share the message of Zija.

A – When a driver (Distributor), a pit (company), and crew (staff) become fully committed to working together, there is nowhere but the destination of extraordinary success for Zija Japan!

A – I am continually impressed by the power of the products and the Founder’s philosophy, which has led to the creation of these great products.
Q – What types of people do you look for to join your Zija team?
A – I like to invite those I care about and love the most to join Zija. I also like to recruit those who can walk the same path as I want to walk, for a lifetime. In further detail, I would say that I would like to be with those who are always looking to move forward with me.
Q – To what do you attribute your success thus far with Zija?
A – I attribute my success to the sympathy I have toward my team members. Knowing the truth influences not only my life, but also the lives of other people. This requires responsibility, which in turn urges me to take action and to spread the Zija message.
I have an ability to see things that eyes cannot capture. Knowing the truth has a huge impact on not only my life but also the lives of others. It comes with a big responsibility. The responsibility and awareness in turn pushes us to keep moving forward.
Q – What does Life Unlimited mean to you?
A – To me, Life Unlimited means that my dreams can come true. To make dreams come true is important to unite our inner microcosms with the universe and enhance our potential to achieve our dreams. Being healthy—financially, physically, and spiritually—allows us to create harmony between our inner microcosms and the universe.
Q – What are your thoughts about the future of Zija International in Japan?
A – I believe that Zija International will become a company that helps save the world.

Q – What drew you to Zija International?
A – I was first attracted to the high-quality products. Thanks to the power of Moringa, our life has changed completely, and we enjoy energy and vitality because of the products.
After seizing the opportunity of Zija, I feel I am learning what Life Unlimited really is.
Every network marketing company’s success depends on the people who work there. The more I learn about the leaders and executives of Zija, the more I realize how honest and reliable they are.
People often have a feeling of disappointment and start giving up on things as they grow older; Zija Distributors are changing this perception. I am truly thankful to and love Zija’s executives and leaders.

Q – To what do you attribute your success thus far with Zija?
A – I believe in Zija’s products and the company that has created these products. I truly enjoy sharing the Zija message with everyone. I am so confident in what I do that, in a way, I am able to touch people’s heart.
The reason for my success is that I follow the right way of the Zija business as it has been taught to me by my Sponsors and Upline leaders.
I always decide to do things to the end; in other words, I complete every task I start. I also decide to concentrate my efforts on doing things I like. Something authentic like Zija helps me do this. I am simply fascinated by Zija. That’s all I can say. If there is any difference between others and me, it would be that I do not waver in or doubt my decision.
Q – What does Life Unlimited mean to you?
A – Life Unlimited means not giving up my life. It tells me that I don’t need to scale down my dream based on current life conditions. To me, those two things are what Life Unlimited stands for.
Before getting involved in Zija, I thought living Life Unlimited was kind of an illusion or lip service. But, I got my health and energy back and became active again after taking Zija’s products. I was also able to have a vision for my future after I started the business. I was able to grow as a person while I reconsider the purpose of my life and achieve goals with my team members.
I am able to do those things simultaneously and repeatedly in the system Zija has provided. Because of this, I am able to strengthen my determination of never giving up and make my dream bigger and better.
Q – What are your thoughts about the future of Zija International in Japan?
A – I believe that the diligent and compassionate Japanese people will start recognizing Zija as a system of Life Unlimited because of the momentum of Zija in this market.

Damaging Blow: Avon Falls Off S&P 500 For First Time Since 1964

After a more than fifty-year stay in the index, Avon won't be in it for much longer.
S&P Dow Jones Indices, the company that manages the S&P 500, announced on Friday that the troubled cosmetics giant will be moved to its MidCap 400 index after the close of trading on March 20.
The S&P 500, which many average and professional investors use as their main benchmark to judge stock market performance, is home to mostly larger companies.
Avon (AVP) is now worth only $3.2 billion. It's being replaced by underwear and T-shirt makerHanesbrands (HBI), which has a market value of more than $13 billion.
In its statement, S&P Dow Jones Indices said the change was made because Avon was no longer big enough.
A spokesman for S&P Dow Jones Indices added that Avon has been in the S&P 500 since May 20, 1964.
But the writing has been on the wall for Avon for awhile. The company's sales have plunged for the past three years and it's been bleeding red lipstick, I mean ink, during that time as well.
I even wrote this about Avon earlier this month in a story about stocks that have missed the now 6-year old bull market.
Heck, with a market value now below $4 billion, you have to wonder if its days in the S&P 500 are numbered.
Avon had a chance to save its investors from these big losses back in 2012. But the company turned down a $10.7 billion takeover offer from rival Coty (COTY).
The company is just the latest brand-name icon to get booted from the S&P 500 as it stock price and market value have fallen. It joins a list that includes J.C. Penney (JCP), Sears (SHLD), The New York Times (NYT) and Eastman Kodak (KODK).
Wait till you get your hands on this stock. But Hanesbrands is the polar opposite of Avon. Times have never been better.
Sure, the company may be in a boring business fashion-wise, but the company's sales and profits have grown on a consistent basis for the past few years. The stock has routinely been hitting all-time highs.
It's all the more impressive when you consider that one of its top rivals — Fruit of the Loom — has the backing of Warren Buffett. The Oracle of Omaha's Berkshire Hathaway (BRKB) owns Fruit of the Loom.
Shares of Avon fell 5% Monday while Hanesbrands rose 3%.
Two other stocks — energy firms Nabors Industries (NBR) and Denbury Resources (DNR) — are also being removed from the S&P 500 with Avon. Those stocks each fell about 3%. The continued drop in oil prices didn't help.
Their replacements — data center owner Equinix (EQIX) and commercial real estate investment trustSL Green Realty (SLG) — both rose.

  • Total revenues increased 184% to $17,796,937, compared to $6,261,517 in the fourth quarter last year.
  • Gross Profit for the quarter was increased to $14.2 million and Gross Profit Margins increased to 79.6%.
  • Operating income was $685,341 compared to $83,284 during the quarter in 2014, a 713% increase.
  • Net income increased to $189,460, or $0.01 EPS, versus $5,788, or $0.00 EPS, in Q42013. The company had a one-time charge of $149,520 for the loss on settlement of claim. Excluding this item, net income was $338,980, or $0.02 per basic and diluted share.

  • Operating income increased to $1,681,966 up from $382,829 during 2013, a 339% increase.
  • Net income increased 780% to $1,028,712, or $0.05 per basic and diluted share in 2014 compared to $116,843, or $0.01 EPS last year. Without the one-time settlement loss the company earned $1,178,232 or $0.06 per basic share for 2014.
  • Total assets increased to $7,709,633 at the end of 2014 compared to $2,699,519 on 12/31/13.
  • Total cash including restricted cash increased to $1,169,971 up from $284,741 at the end of 2013.
  • Total liabilities increased to $8,086,341 compared to $6,301,037 at the end of 2013.
  • Interest expense decreased to $317,966 versus $473,385 for 2013.

“We experienced strong sales growth around the world this year. Gross profits increased due to increasing revenues and reducing our two largest sales expenses, product costs and shipping, as we were able to optimize pricing with our key vendors and raw material suppliers."
"Product costs also decreased because of the product mix and lower shipping costs of our high volume products. Our total tangible assets increased over $5 million to $7.7 million and was primarily due to an increase in inventory, purchase of fixed assets and a substantial increase in cash and cash equivalents and restricted cash."
"We continue to reduce our debt and currently only have short term notes payable of $1,499,234 with no long term debt. We had certain non-recurring expenses in 2014 due to settlements of claims, retirement of debt and key management hires."

International markets: Significant growth in local currency, strong impact of currency effects
In view of the positive development in 2014, Patrick Sostmann, Spokesman of Board of LR, sees a lot of good signs for the future. "In 2014, LR was again able to sustain its growth in local currency and recorded a significant increase in sales at constant foreign exchange rates.
Negative currency effects unfortunately had an adverse impact on some growth markets (e.g. Russia, the Czech Republic and Turkey) leading to a sales volume of EUR 228 million. We saw very pleasing developments (for example in France, Portugal and Poland), however, so that all in all, we can be highly satisfied with the international results", said Sostmann.
LR continues to focus on a long-term growth strategy and an international orientation of the company. Modernisation of the sales concept and strengthening of the brand
In summer 2014, LR extended its sales concept by the new customer group of "premium customers", thereby setting new standards in the German direct sales industry.
At the same time, the company launched its online shop (shop.LRworld.com) in Germany and Austria so that not only sales partners but end customers as well can now purchase products online. State-of-the-art web technologies and a modern shop design enable LR to offer completely different contents to independent LR sales partners and end customers. 4Life executives recently announced professional tennis player Yaroslava Shvedova as the newest Team 4Life member. Team 4Life is a group of internationally renowned athletes who represent 4Life distributors as company brand ambassadors and product advocates.
Yaroslava, who goes by Slava, was born in Moscow, Russia. She began playing tennis at the age of six. Her father, Vyacheslav, is a professional tennis coach and began training Slava at the age of eight. Her mother, Nurziya, was a world champion in the 100 km marathon.
Slava has represented the country of Kazakhstan as an athlete since 2008 and won the Women’s Tennis Association singles title, three International Tennis Federation Women's Circuit singles titles and six doubles titles, including the 2010 Wimbledon and U.S. Open women's doubles titles (with King from the United States).
