ForeverGreen Worldwide Corporation, a leading provider of nutritional foods and other healthy products announced Q2 2014 earnings. The quarter ended June 30, 2014.
Recent Company Highlights:
  • New leaders, distributors and customers added at record pace each month during 2014
  • Company achieved fifth consecutive quarter of operating profitability and second consecutive quarter of growth in operating and net income
  • Sales increased each quarter for the last 5 quarters
  • Company actively shipped product in 174 countries, up from just 150 at end of 2013

  • Company expanded to new corporate headquarters in Pleasant Grove, UT
  • Company met or exceeded monthly targets necessary to remain on target for the increased company guidance of $41-50 million of revenue during 2014
Highlights for Q2 2014 included:
  • Sales increased to $14,127,840 from $4,007,611 for Q2 2013, a 253% increase
  • Gross profit rose to $11,233,332 compared to $2,852,371 during Q2 2013, a 294% increase
  • Gross profit margins increased to 79.5% versus 71.1% during the comparable quarter during 2013
  • Operating income was $412,360 compared to $92,653, a 345% increase
  • Net income totaled $454,856 or $0.02 EPS versus a net loss of $5,383
  • Operating expenses excluding sales and marketing declined as a percentage of revenue from 31.9% in 2013 to 24% in 2014
  • Interest expense decreased to $70,407 or 0.05% of sales compared to $92,995 or 2.3% of sales during Q2 2013
Highlights for six months, ending June 30, 2014, included:
  • Sales increased to $24,664,242 versus $6,702,089, a 268% increase
  • Gross profit rose to $19,210,729 from $4,707,519, a 308% increase
  • Gross profit margins increased to 77.9% compared to 70.2% for 1H 2013
  • Operating income increased to $679,361 versus a net loss of $3,039
  • Net income totaled $635,907 or $0.03 EPS as compared to a net loss of $216,839 during 1H 2013
  • Interest expense decreased to $145,258 compared to $209,374 during the first six months of 2013
  • Total assets increased to $5,375,883 from $2,699,519 on December 31, 2013
  • Total liabilities increased nominally to $6,357,005 from $6,301,037 on December 31, 2013
“Total operating expenses for the quarter, excluding sales and marketing, declined from 31.9% in 2013 to 24.0% in 2014,” said Allen Davis, COO. “Primarily, this was due to an increased awareness of expense management. Cost of goods sold increased to $2.9 million or 20.5% of sales compared to $1.2 million or 28.9% of sales. This was largely a result of optimizing pricing with our key vendors and change in product mix.”
Forever Green experienced a 253% increase in sales over the corresponding quarter in 2013, solidly within the previously announced guidance of $13-15 million we issued for the quarter. Gross margins, operating margins and net profit margins all continue to improve.

Mr. Almarinez attended the prestigious Harvard Business School's Global Strategic Management Program in Boston, Massachusetts. He also has a Master's Degree in Applied Business Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific. Dave is very active in civic affairs in his home province of Laguna, Philippines, where he was a publicly-elected board member of the Provincial Government.

JM Ocean Avenue announced the appointment of a new CEO and CFO.
Tim Richerson has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of JM HK and a Member of the Board of Directors, Tim has also been named the Chief Executive Officer and President of JM OA, Inc. Both assignments are effective immediately.

Mr. Richerson brings 30+ years of vast and varied experience that includes consumer, financial and web based companies both in the public and private sector. Most recently as a Director of the Burnham Financial Group, a current Partner in GT Development and a Partner in a private web based auction business. Also from 2003—2008 Mr. Richerson formed the Alan James Group, LLC with a partner where they acquired a group of consumer product brands from Boehringer Ingelheim.
He then built the Alan James portfolio of well-known brands consisting of over 30,000 food, drug, mass and warehouse club retail distribution outlets. The Alan James Group was acquired by Interleukin Genetics in 2006 (majority owned by Alticor Inc.). Mr. Richerson was named Interleukins CEO and continued to consult for Alticor through 2013.
From 1997 – 2002, Mr. Richerson was with Rexall Sundown Inc., a NASDAQ listed company. In the 5 years with Rexall Sundown Inc., Mr. Richerson served as the General Manager as well as the company President. During his tenure Rexall's revenues grew from $100M to over $700M. Mr. Richerson also served as a member of the Numico North American Executive Management Committee that oversaw all Numico U.S. holdings, which included: General Nutrition Centers (GNC), Rexall Sundown and Unicity Direct Selling.
Prior to this, he was with Playtex Products, Inc. for 10 years, where he held positions as Vice President of Sales in the Consumer Products Division and Vice President of Trade Marketing. Playtex, at the time, was owned in part by T. H. Lee Partners and eventually went public on the NYSE in 1995. Tim is also a prior member of YPO, (Young Presidents Organization).

Ms. Sung comes to JM Ocean Avenue with a wealth of experience in budgeting and planning, financial reporting, auditing, accounting systems, and business operations. She joined the Company in January 2014.
She is a founding member of Metis Limited, a boutique consulting firm specializing in providing outsourced accounting, finance and operational services to companies located in the greater China area. From June 2007 to January 2013, Ms. Sung was Vice President and Board Director of CFO Oncall, Inc. During her tenure, she led the firm’s Client Services Division in China and developed the firm’s strategic plans for its China operations. Ms. Sung also served as Chief Financial Officer for Jiangbo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. a Nasdaq (Global Market) listed pharmaceutical company with operations in China, from November 2007 to March 2011.
From 2002 to 2007, she held positions of increasing responsibility as a Senior Auditor for Ernst and Young, LLP, and as Senior Internal Auditor for Applica Consumer Products, Inc., a publicly traded company. She also served as Audit Manager for Sherb and Company, where she was responsible for providing assurance services to public companies located in China.
Ms. Sung holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting and a BS in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. She also holds a BS in Sociology from National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan.

Over 320 Applications For The Funding Made Available For Development Programmes By The World For People Foundation

Over 320 applications for a value of over $210 million: this has been the response to the first  international announcement of funding available for development programmes of World for People Foundation (www.worldforpeople.org): an institution that has become in a few months a point of reference at international level. 
For the first time a foundation connected to a big player in the network marketing as World Global Network arrives at these levels.
Over the next eight weeks the Foundation will evaluate the entries and inform all applicants of the status of their application(s). Due to the large number of submissions, we will however not be able to give individual feedback to unsuccessful candidates. Shortlisted applicants will then have one month from receiving written confirmation of our interest in their project to submit a complete proposal and provide the necessary supporting documents.   
With this international announcement of funding available for development programmes the Foundation proposes to contribute to the sustainable development of emerging economies through the promotion of innovative social projects which offer advanced technological solutions for improving the quality of life and economic conditions of the local population.
This project is designed to improve the conditions of pupils in existing schools in emerging countries and areas of social deprivation. These benefits are also extended to other active sectors of the local population.
"We have received applications- declare the Chairman of the Foundation Alfonso Galdi- for a total of over $210 million. Many of these projects deserve to be funded and I hope that as the Foundation grows so will the budget available. The board will consider interdisciplinary projects favouring the development of information and communication technologies, heritage education and sustainable development and which contain the following elements: the computerisation of schools by supplying computer equipment; the training of tutors; the inclusion in the curriculum of courses on the use of computers, heritage education and sustainable development held by qualified teachers and attended by pupils in the school system and courses in computer basics directed at the general population.
The programme may also include support activities for example: the supply of energy to schools from renewable sources; the provision of equipment necessary for teaching activities; the provision of a water supply and sanitation; projects to ensure the school remains operational and the provision of security and safe custody of the equipment supplied.

July 2014 Marks A Banner Month For Trévo Life And Health Coaches

As Trévo continues its global expansion more and more people are enjoying the fruits of its recognition program. Case in point, during just the month of July, six people qualified to receive brand new cars, free courtesy of the Trévo Car Bonus Program and hundreds of people received thousands of dollars in pool bonuses through Trévo’s Pool Bonus Program.

Solavei Among Other Mobile Network Companies (MVNO) Coming To An End In US

Are we seeing the end of MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operating) companies? Channel Partners Online believes so. In a recent article they shared why the collapse of Solavei and other companies are happening and will continue to leave the scene:
The MVNO scene in the United States is in the midst of a shakeup, according to reports.
And, frankly, the news doesn’t come as a big shock as the MVNO model – where companies lease network access from a larger wireless operator and then bill, usually without a contract, under their own brands – has come into question. That’s because providers including AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile now offer their own bottom-dollar, no-contract services with the backing of more financial resources than their smaller rivals.
As a result, the following initiatives have come to an end: RadioShack’s Leap Wireless partnership; Spot Mobile’s and Solavei’s offerings, which ran on the T-Mobile network; and Chit Chat Holdings’ service, which relied on Sprint.
First, Fierce Wireless reported last week that RadioShack has put the kibosh on its no-contract product. The once-formidable retailer launched its prepaid service in 2012 but, contrary to most MVNO arrangements, had Leap provide the billing, not just the access.
That partnership came to end after AT&T earlier this year finalized its $1.2 billion acquisition of Leap Wireless, which operated under the Cricket Communications name. To be sure, Leap gave AT&T 5 million more customers and a stronghold in the prepaid business. Meantime, RadioShack has been struggling to survive and probably was unable to compete with the company it was using to provide its no-contract service.
Indeed, AT&T said it intended to use Leap to “shake up the no-contract segment with a combination of simple, low-cost rate plans; a terrific lineup of smartphones; and a great network experience … with access to AT&T’s nationwide 4G LTE network covering nearly 280 million people." The nation’s second-largest wireless operator also planned to expand Cricket’s presence to more cities; it was not clear why the RadioShack-AT&T deal ended, but the combination of AT&T’s move into the prepaid segment paired with RadioShack’s declining financials seems reason enough.
Next, Spot Mobile, which teamed with T-Mobile, is shutting off its service on Sept. 7. Spot Mobile’s website notes that the company had a contract with the underlying carrier that matured, and a sale of Spot Mobile did not happen as hoped. Spot Mobile operated as a traditional MVNO, buying network access from T-Mobile and providing billing under its own brand.
Spot Mobile is the second T-Mobile-dependent MVNO to shut down this summer. In June, Solavei said it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Executives said they had not gotten enough customers by May 31. That news comes as T-Mobile has fought hard to lure (and succeeded in getting) prepaid subscribers.
Finally, Chit Chat Holdings, which debuted its East Coast-only MVNO service late last year, also has filed for Chapter 11. The company says it hasn’t been able to settle a billing dispute with Sprint, so it had to seek protection. Chit Chat claims it did not receive data usage billing information on time, which led to a billing dispute reportedly worth several hundred thousand dollars.

Rosie is not your typical bedazzled Hollywood Housewife—in fact, she’s not one at all. She’s stands up for what she believes, tells it like it is, and occasionally gets her hands dirty. And she’s not afraid to talk about her long-term struggles with being overweight.

Vi: What inspired you to start The Challenge?
ROSIE: I had already begun my weight-loss journey, and went on the ViSalus website and saw all the incredible results of people losing weight and getting fit. I mean, people were really losing a lot of weight! It looked like something that could be right for me. And, the whole charity component and the fact that those results help children (through PROJECT 10 Kids)… that was cool. So, I tried it.
Vi: You’ve definitely lost weight in the past few months. Is it difficult to juggle all that you’re doing with eating right and exercising?
ROSIE: When the show [The Real Housewives of New Jersey] airs, my schedule gets crazy and I’m so busy. And, I’m getting ready to buy a house. But, I still make the time. I’m doing really well with working out, and I’m eating very healthy. I’m like, ‘Wow,’ I see some serious results!
Vi: How do you begin your day?
ROSIE: I work out first thing in the morning. Then I make sure to have a healthy breakfast with the protein cereal—Vi Crunch. I actually mix the cereal in plain yogurt every day—I love the crunchiness! I could even eat that Vi Crunch again for lunch. Usually I have some fish and a salad. Later on I have a sensible dinner.
Vi: Have you always struggled with weight?
ROSIE: Yeah. When I was 18, I was over 200 lbs (and I’m 5’4) and decided to follow a strict diet. I stuck to it and didn’t cheat, and dropped almost 70 lbs. After that, I became even thinner. In my mid-30s, though, I started to struggle again, and my weight got out of control.
Vi: Was there something specific that triggered it?
ROSIE: When I was in my mid-30s, life really got me down and I started to lose myself. I became very depressed. Gained 30 lbs. in one month. The weight just kept coming, and it didn’t come off. I got to a point that I couldn’t breathe right. And I hated looking in the mirror and seeing that I had let myself go.
Vi: What lifestyle choices have you made to become healthier?
ROSIE: I had tried losing the pounds with the weight bands, but it didn’t work. So, I started working out. I quit smoking, which was huge for me. I’m always making sure to continually have breakfast, and I’m eating healthier and in small quantities throughout the day. I’ve lost more than 30 lbs.
Vi: What’s it like to be on Reality TV in terms of people constantly watching you all the time?
ROSIE: Being on Reality TV doesn’t make my life any harder. I am who I am. I wanted to lose weight because I didn’t like the way I looked. I lost a lot of weight years ago—and I know I can do it again. So, it’s possible. I don’t like anything to win over me. I won’t let weight win.
Vi: As you’ve worked towards becoming healthier, what have you learned about yourself?
ROSIE: I’m really loving working out. I love lifting weights and swimming. Now, if I don’t do exercise like 6 times a week, I’m pissed at myself. Sometimes I ask my trainer, “Are you sure you’re working me out as hard as possible?”
Vi: What’s something that many people don’t know about you?
ROSIE: I take everything to heart. I really cherish the people that I care about – and their opinion matters a lot to me. I want everybody to be proud of me. Yes, I have a rough exterior, but that is just the way I protect myself. People who are REAL will take the time to discover and appreciate that side of me. If they’re fake or shallow or judgmental, well, then they’re going to miss out on hanging out with somebody awesome. I’m very loyal to my friends, and I think with my heart, more than with my head.
Vi: Anything else?
ROSIE: Oh yeah. I’m 47 years old, and I have killer legs. People don’t see them… but they’re there. Damn sexy pair of legs.
Vi: What’s your 90-Day Challenge goal?
ROSIE: In the next 3 months, I want to fit into a Size 10. That would be perfect for me.
Vi: When you do become Size 10, what will be the first thing you do?
ROSIE: I will buy a nice sexy black suit that has skinny flat-front pants and that fits me… perfectly. Oh, and I’m going to wear with it pointy winged-tipped shoes. I love pointy shoes.
