Total Life Changes, Pam McCray

Twenty Years to Pay Dirt in the MLM Business. This stay-at-home mom has never given up.  Can you imagine showing up to work every single day for twenty years and never earning a real paycheck? Well that’s been the story of self-employed networker Pam McCray.
For the past 20 years, she has joined business after business, gone to meeting after meeting, attended conference after conference and wore the badge of honor for every company she’s been connected to, but never found any consistent success.
“I have to admit, I’ve had a difficult time earning income and getting any acknowledgement of being a leader in the MLM industry. But I always had this belief that I would eventually win. I was one of those network-marketing babies who grew up with parents who believed in the industry from a young age.
I can still remember my parent’s meetings and the home parties they did! Their excitement and belief in the industry rubbed off on me, and created a hunger inside of me to also become a Network Marketing Professional,” explains McCray.
With a relentless drive to achieve in the industry, she has spent the past twenty years searching for the right opportunity that would position her to become a recognized leader in network marketing. She just didn’t know when this opportunity might arise and which company would be the vehicle; but she knew that this industry had a way of taking average people and turning them into extraordinary success stories
Six months ago, the vision that Pam has held in her heart for the past twenty years was finally manifested when she said one simple word, YES!  She nearly missed this opportunity while overlooking the simplicity of the product. McCray was approached by her friend and mentor, Global Director for Total Life Changes, Stormy Wellington. She introduced Pam to TLC’s hero product, Iaso™ Tea.
“I took the bag and tossed it in my purse not even giving it a second thought. It wasn’t until she came back to me and asked for it back that I remembered I had it, so in an effort to not give it back, I decided to give it a try,” recalls McCray. In the following thirty-one days, Pam McCray lost twenty pounds.
“Not only did I lose the weight, but it’s as if I lost all fears and resistance along with it.  That little black bag became a miracle in my life that made me bolder and more confident than ever before, which boosted my income and quickly positioned me near the top of the charts in Total Life Changes,” she adds.
Many believe that success in the MLM industry is all a matter of luck. Pam McCray is living proof that perseverance is your power to change. Twenty years of chasing dreams and never giving up and never giving in to her peer’s negativity toward building a successful business in networking has finally paid off.
“I have been able to become a top earner with TLC, which is allowing me to empower others around the world to live the life of their dreams and experience financial freedom. As a Regional Diretor, I have essentially been able to compress what some dream to earn in a year into a five-figure weekly income,” explains McCray.
Pam McCray is a stay-at-home mother of four and wife of Nate McCray. Her family is thankful for the freedom that network marketing has provided. The McCray’s are now enjoying more financial freedom under the sunny skies of South Florida. Pam’s goal is to help 1,000 families earn a six-figure income by the end of 2015: “You need to know that it is possible for anyone to build a residual income, live a healthier lifestyle, own a home where you want to live; do what you want to do, go where you want, and get to bless so many people.
I would like to thank Jack Fallon, CEO & Founder of TLC, for his vision, the leadership that is paving the way, my team and of course my husband Nate who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. If you're serious, committed, coachable and teachable, now is the time to take action and begin to live the life of your dreams.” You may contact Pam McCray via email: joinPamtoday@gmail.com

Talk Fusion Associate, Judicael Obame

Talk Fusion continues to demonstrate international success in countries throughout the world. In the sovereign state of Gabon, Africa, AssociateJudicael Obame was hard at work as a full time PhD student in biological sciences. In an effort to overcome mounting debt and help earn financial freedom for his family, he tried several personal business endeavors.
Unfortunately, each of them took up so much of his time that he had to abandon them. It appeared he would have to make a terrible choice: his higher education and the career of his dreams OR making enough money to get out of debt and help his family.
Fortunately Judicael was introduced to Talk Fusion by a friend before he had to make that critical decision. He didn’t need his PhD to realize he had found the opportunity that would help him achieve the financial freedom he desperately needed.
“I've never been so excited and enthusiastic in my life about doing something as I feel now!” he says. “Before being introduced to Talk Fusion I was in debt, but now I'm getting more and more debt free. I'm very determined to continue.”
Ironically, a year before joining Talk Fusion, a friend he hadn’t seen since high school sent Judicael a Talk Fusion Video Email. “It was very cool to see him again, talking to me through a video email after such a long period of silence,” he recalls. “Looking back, I realize it was a mistake for me to not have asked him how he did it. If I had, I would have joined Talk Fusion a year ago!”
Judicael approaches his Talk Fusion business with the same energy and dedication as he gives to his PhD studies; in fact, he is able to work part time at Talk Fusion while completing his degree. The key is expanding his business with a team of committed Associates. “The Talk Fusion business here is growing with powerful momentum. Associates here are very enthusiastic; the number of associates is growing all over the country. A great team of Talk Fusion Champions is born in Gabon.”
A huge inspiration for his team is Talk Fusion’s Instant Pay. However, given that Instant Pay is the only compensation plan in the world that pays just three minutes after the sale, some people have a difficult time believing at first. “I remember an Associate who was a little skeptical about that,” he remembers. “But I assure you that when she sponsored her first associate and got paid right away, she told me ‘Thank You, Judicael’ with a huge smile! Instant Pay definitely gives my team more motivation and commitment to continue their business.”
Even as he works toward finishing his PhD, Judicael plans to promote regional Talk Fusion events locally in his town and nationally across Gabon. “I think about the freedom to get all you need that you have never had the possibility to get before. I think about the possibility to travel around the world and live your dreams. I think about helping people through various initiatives because you have money to do that.”
Considering his college expenses and the need to help his family, Judicael has a final thought about how his successful Talk Fusion business will change his life forever. “I think about being debt free.”

Facebook Talking About Ranks

We have received many questions how we calculate the Direct Selling momentum ranks. As we do not want the many "Copy Cats" on the Internet to steal our setup, we do not disclose our algorithm.
What we will disclose with this article is a small part of our key indicators, the Facebook "Talking About", you find that on the company Facebook page – under likes.
This is the actual number of people who are 'engaged' and interacting with that Facebook Page. The people who actually come back to the page *after* liking the page. This include activities such as comments, likes to a post, shares, etc by visitors to the page.
A company can "Buy" Facebook likes and some companies do….. however "Talking About" is hard to influence. Rule of thumb of "Likes" vs "Talking About" numbers for a Facebook Page:
With LESS than 100,000 likes, a great "talking about" number is about 8% of the likes. With MORE than 100,000 likes, a great "talking about" number is 4% of the likes.
To explain below list, Avon has 13,6 million Facebook likes, however 24,800+ Talking About, so 0,18% is active. Nerium has 206,800+ Facebook likes and 25,000+ Talking About, so 12,34% is active.
Below are the Facebook "Talking About" ranks as of 22 May 2015, we have sorted the "Talking About" on absolute numbers, however you have to look to both numbers :)

China’s Direct Sales Market Growing 30% Annually

Sammy Lee Infinitus China

China's direct sales market began with the entry of Avon in the 1990s. But the industry plunged into chaos with rampant pyramid schemes, prompting the government to ban the industry altogether in 1998. The ban was lifted in 2005.
Since the ban was lifted, direct marketing has expanded rapidly, with an average annual growth rate of 30 percent. China's direct sales market is likely the world's third or fourth biggest behind the United States, Japan and possibly South Korea, said Hu Yuanjiang, executive director for direct selling at China Health Care Association.
After 2005, the industry grew to employ 2.3 million salespeople within seven years. In 2012, the country had 32 licensed direct selling companies with combined sales of nearly 20 billion yuan ($3.2 billion), according to the Chinese Commerce Ministry.
The growth can be attributed to China's economic boom, a rising consumer culture and more favorable government policies, and also that direct selling provides low-threshold opportunities for people to start their own businesses, Hu said.
"It also fits into the Chinese culture, where kinships and personal relationships, such as being in the same class or from the same village, are highly valued. They help build trust quickly, which is important for direct selling," Hu said.
The Tianjin-based Tiens Group, which sells medicinal products, including via direct sales, sent 6000 distributors on a four-day, all-expenses-paid trip to France to celebrate the company's 20th anniversary. They formed the phrase "Tiens' dream is nice in the Côte d'Azur" on a waterfront in Nice. The French foreign minister met with the company president.
Infinitus is sending 12,700 sales associates to Thailand in shifts of two to three thousand for six-day trips to Bangkok and the beach resort of Pattaya. They are taking 110 flights and shuttling in 400 coach buses until Tuesday. Thai tourism officials expect $18 million in revenue.
The three mass tours have generated media buzz not only in host countries, but back home where some Chinese see them as part of their country's rise on the world stage. They relish the big spending and the warm welcome from host cities.
Yet another Chinese direct seller sent 7,000 people to California last year. Perfect China's tour of California last year reportedly generated $85 million in revenue for the local economy, and Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait wished them great memories.
"We are making history!" vice-chairman Xu Guowei of the Perfect China cosmetics company crowed in California during the retreat and package tour. "We have taken 86 flights, stayed in 26 hotels," he said. "Our group's attendees have spent $10,000 each this visit."
Hu Xingdou, an economics professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, said the mass tours reflect the desire of Chinese to show off wealth after decades of impoverishment, while the uniforms and shouting of slogans reveal the oddly militaristic corporate culture of China's direct marketing companies.
Zhang Xiaoyan, a senior business director at Infinitus who went on one of the Thailand trips, recalled local people "gaping" at the travelers who were wearing uniforms, lugging suitcases and carrying umbrellas — all with the company logo.
"I think it helped a lot to advertise our company's culture and image," Zhang said.
"Some local TV network reported on us and they called us the largest tourist group in history in Thailand."

DSA Reacts to Article About Decline of Direct Sales in USA

Joseph Mariano DSA President

The Direct Selling Association (DSA) has reacted to an article in The Columbus Dispatch about CVSL company Longaberger’s recent troubles, where an analyst was quoted as saying:
“In our view, the Internet offers a more efficient and lower-cost distribution channel than catalogs……Direct selling, while a great source of part-time income for many, is a slowly dying business model…”
Joseph Mariano, President of the DSA has written the following letter toThe Dispatch.
The direct-selling channel in the United States is healthy and continues to grow, contrary to the view expressed in May 17 Dispatch article “Basket maker Longaberger Co. has its critics.”
The proof is in the numbers: Direct selling generated more than $32 billion in revenue in 2013, up from $31.6 billion in 2012 and $29.8 billion the previous year. Ohio realized just over $1 billion in sales with more than 450,000 people involved in direct selling in 2013.
Although e-commerce has revolutionized the retail sales experience, there remains a strong market for highly personalized customer service and product demonstration, two distinct advantages of direct selling.
E-commerce functions enhance the direct-selling experience; they don’t replace it.

Kannaway Boosts Medical Marijuana Sales By 280%

Jeff Rogers Kannaway

Medical Marijuana Inc, the parent company of Kannaway, billed as the world’s first direct sales company specializing in hemp based botanical products,  announced its FY2014 report, with a 280% increase in sales.
The CEO also sent a letter to shareholders updating them on the current year’s plans. Additionally, the company also launched a new website, in honor of “420” celebrations. The celebrations mark the changes in the cannabis industry, moving from illegal to legal and the realization of the truth about cannabis.
In its financial report the company reported a year over year increase of 280% in sales. Additional highlights included maintaining a credit reserve of $6 million and an increase in the capacity of merchant accounts to $20 million. The increase in sales has been credited to the expansion of operations and the acquisition of Kannaway.
The CEO, Stuart W. Titus, in his letter stated that the company has been making additions to the management team, with a focus to improve performance. He also stated that the FY2014 had been delayed because the new management was reviewing and comparing the progress in 4Q2014 and 1Q2015. The CEO also outlined that Real Scientific Hemp Oil would be the company’s flagship product, since it has been showing increasing demand, with a reduced cost of production.
As part of the 420 celebrations, Mr. Titus announced an upgrade to their flagship product, which will now be called Real Hemp Meds Oil, but he did not disclose anything else. The new website, he stated, is going to be a one stop portal for investors, entrepreneurs and consumers alike. The website has been revamped and now contains all the relevant information about Medical Marijuana and its portfolio of companies. The website also contains the relevant information about the cannabis industry in general. Instead of focusing the website on just the company and its developments, it would be bringing updates from the entire industry.
About Kannaway, LLC
Kannaway, LLC, is a network sales and marketing company specializing in the sales and marketing of hemp-based botanical products. Kannaway currently hosts weekly online sales meetings and conferences across the United States, offering unique insight and opportunity to sales professionals who are desirous of becoming successful leaders in the sale and marketing of hemp-based botanical products.

Reiner Strecker Vorwerk

Vorwerk is looking back on an extremely successful fiscal year 2014. In the 131st year of the company’s history, the Vorwerk Group closed with a consolidated sales volume of 2.8 billion euros, representing a year-on-year increase of 5.8 percent – a new best result for the Wuppertal-based, family-owned company. The current year also got off to a promising start with sales at the end of the first three months of 2015 already up 19 percent on the corresponding period of the previous year.
The Vorwerk Group also generated a clear increase in its business volume, which also takes new akf group business into account, of 6.8 percent to 3.3 billion euros.
“2014 was an entirely successful year,” as Managing Partners Reiner Strecker and Frank van Oers announced today at the financial press conference. “In all of our segments, we are right where we belong with our high-ticket products: in people’s homes.”
With revenues totaling 2.3 billion euros, the Group’s core business – direct sales of premium products – once again proved to be a growth driver. Sales were up 5.9 percent in this segment. For the first time in the history of the company, the Thermomix Division was the highest-earning, direct-selling division with sales volume totaling 920 million euros, placing it ahead of Kobold (898 million euros), JAFRA Cosmetics (427 million euros) and Lux Asia Pacific (28 million euros). From Vorwerk’s point of view, the highlights of the year included the successful launch of the Thermomix TM5, the Kobold VG100 window cleaner and the Kobold VR200 robot vacuum cleaner.
As a family company, the Vorwerk Group pursues a long-term strategy focused clearly on sustainable and profitable growth.
“Our ten-year comparison illus-trates the consistent success of this strategy in recent years: We were able to increase our sales volume by a clear 75 percent between 2004 and 2014 – from 1.6 billion to 2.8 billion euros,” the Managing Partners explained.
In the fiscal year 2014, the Group’s investments were focused on further developing its business model, opening up additional sales markets, and developing and manufacturing new products. Investments in the company’s own production facilities took priority. The Executive Board also plans to continue developing its various divisions in the future. “The strong growth of the Thermomix and Kobold Divisions directly leads to a clear increase in invest-ments,” the Managing Partners explained at the financial press conference.
Vorwerk has already earmarked investments to the tune of 128 million euros for major infrastructural measures, the expansion of production capacities and the design of innovative new products. The favorable trend also resulted in the creation of new jobs in the production plants of Vorwerk Engineering; nearly 100 new employees were recruited at the Wuppertal facility alone, the Vorwerk Group’s largest production plant.

ABOUT VORWERK
Vorwerk & Co. KG is a family-owned company that was established in 1883. The Holding Company is headquartered in Wuppertal, Germany. Steve Van Andel,Chairman,Amway

Ada-based Amway Corp. has opened its new manufacturing and research and design facility in Buena Park, Calif.
The direct-selling giant has invested approximately $42 million in facilities at the site, which will manufacture the company’s Nutrilite brand of products, according to a statement.
Amway plans to open four additional manufacturing sites across the U.S. as part of its $322 million expansion project that it first announced in 2012.
“These facilities are a key part of the brand's future and we couldn’t be more excited to continue the legacy of nutrition manufacturing from this site in California,” Chairman Steve Van Andel stated.
The manufacturing expansion included two sites in Michigan, including adding nutrition powder products at Amway’s world headquarters site and converting the Spaulding Avenue warehouse into a manufacturing facility for vitamins, minerals and dietary supplements.

Katy Rodan Kathy Fields

Katy Rodan and Kathy Fields, founders of skincare direct selling Rodan+Fieldshave made it to Forbes’ first ever list of the nation’s top 50 most successful, self-made women as measured by their net worths.
The exclusive freshman class includes entrepreneurs, CEOs, entertainers, designers and even an author. Some of the list members are extremely well-known, starting with the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Facebook’sSheryl Sandberg
“Others like Kathy Fields and Katie Rodan, dermatologists who created acne treatment Proactiv and now have another skin care company, aren’t quite household names yet but may be on their way.”, according to the introduction to the list in Forbes.
A minimum net worth of $250 million was needed to make the ranks.
Kathy Fields and Katy Rodan at a net worth of $320 million each are both placed at No.42 on the list beating singer Beyonce Knowles who is ranked No.49 with a net worth of $250 million.
To compile net worths, the Forbes team valued individuals’ assets, including the value of stakes in public companies, on May 15, when stock prices were locked in. They valued private companies by speaking with an array of outside experts and conservatively comparing them with public competitors. To be eligible for this list, women had to have substantially made their own fortunes and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. In cases where they started businesses with, and still share with, their husbands, half of that combined wealth was assigned to them.

Total Life Changes, National Director, Phillip Birchfield

The Network Marketing industry is a powerful, global entity that reaches nations nobody could have predicted. The overall trend in MLM success stories is clearly on the rise as ambitious entrepreneurs are looking for companies with valuable products that work and compensation plans that offer more than one way to build immediate and residual income. For many networkers this takes decades to achieve the right fit.
Total Life Changes National Director, Phillip Birchfield has found “The Truth” with TLC. Phillip has invested more than twenty years in the MLM industry with several different companies and teams with well over one hundred members, but was unable to capitalize on building meaningful residual wealth. Birchfield is now celebrating his one-year anniversary with Total Life Changes as well as the success of his team of over 4,500 people.
“I saw my first MLM presentation over twenty years ago. I was told that if I share the opportunity, build a team, and gather some customers, that I could build residual wealth. Well, several companies and more than twenty years later, I have finally found the truth with Total Life Changes. I am just blown away by what TLC has done for me. I have built a team of over 4,500 people; over 2,100 on each leg, and this is without any spillover. I have earned over $100,000 dollars within my first 12 months with TLC. This team has more than ten people who have made more than $1,000 in a week’s time. I feel that I am the story of what TLC stands for. This company will give anyone the chance to live their dreams. You see, it is the result of hard work. I did not bring hundreds of people over to this business with me. I had one person join me on my very first day; and then about five during my first week.”
You can find Phillip Birchfield most often on Facebook as he documents his business and his weight loss transformation. “I am a product of the product. I have dropped over 40 pounds on TLC’s products. People get me confused with an Internet marketer all of the time.  "I don't have the skills to be that, but I do market on the Internet. There is a big difference. The good thing is that we all can market on the Internet, even if we can't be an Internet marketer. I thank TLC for being the truth and for being a company with wonderful products that work. TLC has great leadership, a comp plan that pays, and an owner that has priced the product and the opportunity where anyone can change their life,” adds Philip “Tea” Birchfield.
Total Life Changes continues to experience tremendous growth from its number of new affiliates to its monthly sales. This is a credit to the foundation that has been implemented for the past six years; through the selection of affordable products in three of the fastest growing industries worldwide: coffee, skin care and weight loss.
“I don’t necessarily feel lucky. Most top earners in any industry didn’t get there by luck. I really believe that the success Total Life Changes is having now is due to the ground work that was put in place over the past five to six years, in terms of product selection, creating partnerships with the right vendors and manufacturers and now allowing TLC President Armand Puyolt, Vice President of North America Sales, Kenny Lloyd and Vice President of South America Sales, Bolo Enriquez build and monitor the field. Each of them is so very talented and knowledgeable and willing to travel anywhere across the country and anywhere in the world to support our growth. I feel very blessed to have each of these men as a vital part of my corporate team,” explains TLC founder and CEO Jack Fallon.

Three Startups That Want To Steal Avon’s Look

Sherylin S. McCoy,AVON,CEO

With the “company for women” struggling, these three startups are hoping to take a big bite of the direct-sales beauty market.
Although a fake takeover bid recently led to a spike in Avon stock, the longtime cosmetics powerhouse built by millions of local “Avon ladies” has been slowly declining. After years as the top global direct sales company, Avon slipped out of that spot in 2014. The company’s revenue declined 20% last year to $8.85 billion, from a peak of $11.1 billion in 2011, and after a lengthy probe into corruption in its China operations, Avon agreed to pay a $135 million settlement.
So, are we looking at the end of the era in which women purchased beauty products from friends and neighbors who sold door-to-door? Not necessarily. There are a number of young, upstart companies that are trying to succeed using the Avon model—albeit with modern twists such as selling via social media.
“The idea of women sharing something they’re passionate about with other women works better than ever before,” says Jessica Herrin, founder of Stella & Dot, which just launched Ever Skincare, a new line of direct-sales skin care. “Social selling has the person-to-person feel of the past but leverages social media and mobile technology to make it more flexible and lucrative for women.”
Here’s how three relative newcomers to the direct-sales category are looking to become the next “company for women.”
Beautycounter
Not just a direct-sales player, Beautycounter calls itself a “direct retail” company because its products are available through a network of nearly 8,000 consultants, as well as via its website and strategic partnerships with companies like JCrew and Goop. “We looked at how consumers are shopping and where the world is going, and consumers demand to shop through multiple channels,” says Gregg Renfrew, founder and CEO of Beautycounter.
Renfrew says that Beautycounter’s emphasis on healthy ingredients is unique and allows the company to go after consumers who are dissatisfied with traditional products. Beautycounter has banned almost 1,600 allowed ingredients from its skincare and cosmetics. “U.S. companies are allowed to use products that are risky and have been banned in the EU,” Renfrew says. “Beautycounter is a contemporary concept in an industry that is slow to change. Our omnichannel sales model and product strategy of avoiding questionable ingredients set us apart from more traditional companies such as Avon.”
After launching in March 2013, Beautycounter has sold more than 1 million product units, say Renfrew, who attributes the growth to an increase in health-conscious consumers.
New consultants can get started selling Beautycounter products for as little as $85. As for how much they earn, “it depends on how they build their business and what they put into it,” Renfrew says. “We have people earning $50 a month and some earning tens of thousands a month.”
Ever Skincare
Created with the company’s patent-pending LSR10 complex, Ever’s products promise results within 30 days and are developed “without the risk of potentially toxic ingredients,” Herrin says. “Social media works for our specialists because they can share their own before and after pics and their friends see them.”
After launching her first successful business (WeddingChannel.com), Herrin says she regularly fielded questions from other women about how to start a business. But she didn’t feel like she had an easy system to share. That’s why she launched Ever as a direct-sales company. “I wanted to democratize entrepreneurship with a kit that’s designed to make it easy for women to start a business,” she says. “We do the distribution, product design and development, and marketing, and our specialists really have all they need to start in their kit.”
Additionally, Herrin sees a chance to capture some of the market once held by traditional direct-sales cosmetics companies. She says the company offers a unique blend of “high tech and high touch,” using social media and speedy delivery to keep customers coming back.
Ever’s starting kits cost as little as $79, and specialists earn 15% to 35% commission on product sales. While the line just launched officially in late May, it grew to more than 1,000 specialists and more than $1 million in sales during its two-month beta phase. “We’re really thrilled with the specialists’ earnings per hour,” Herrin says. “They are earning close to $100 per hour doing skincare socials in person and online.”
Rodan & Fields
Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields, the dermatologists who invented acne treatment Proactiv, launched Rodan & Fields in 2008 in an attempt to do for anti-aging products what Proactiv did for acne-fighters. Last year, the company’s sales reached more than $320 million.
The company’s products are sold directly by its 75,000 consultants, mostly women, located across the country. These sellers get started by purchasing a business kit ranging from $45 to about $1,000, depending on the number of products included. While some consultants join to get discounts on skin care products and just earn a few thousand dollars each year, the company says top sellers “earn six figures or more” per year.

Joseph Mariano DSA

The American Direct Selling Association (DSA) today at its 2015 Annual Meeting released new data indicating that retail sales volume among U.S. direct selling companies grew 5.5% between 2013 and 2014 to $34.47 billion.  Individuals involved in direct selling increased 8.3% during the same period, surpassing over 18 million (18.2 million) Americans for the first time.
"Direct selling is alive and well in communities across America and continues to grow at a solid pace, because millions of Americans want employment opportunities that work the way they want to," saidJoseph N. Mariano, DSA's President.  "That's why direct selling remains attractive to so many people — young parents, caregivers, military spouses, veterans, students, retirees and others — who appreciate opportunities to build a business on their own terms."
The new data was released in conjunction with DSA's 2015 Top 20 — leading companies based on 2014 United States net sales.  The companies are:
AdvoCare International, LP
Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc.
Ambit Energy
Nu Skin Enterprises
Amway
Rodan + Fields
Arbonne International, LLC
Scentsy, Inc.
Herbalife
Shaklee Corporation
Isagenix International
Stream Energy
LegalShield
Take Shape for Life, Inc.-Medifast
LifeVantage Corporation
Team Beachbody
Mary Kay Inc.
Thirty-One Gifts
Melaleuca, Inc.
USANA Health Sciences, Inc.

Mariano continued, "I want to congratulate each member of this year's Top 20 not only for their track record of success but also for their devotion to customers and to DSA.  Working together, we continue to ensure that ethical business practices and customer satisfaction are priorities in the marketplace."
Between 2007 and 2014, wellness products have steadily gained in popularity and now represent the largest major product group within the direct selling channel, according to the data, rising from 21.4% (2007) of total retail sales to 30.1% (2014).
"As more people understand and pursue the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, it's not surprising that wellness products continue to lead the direct selling channel," said Mariano.
The data also indicate steady growth in the services category, which rose from 19.2% of direct sales in the United States in 2010 to 23.1% in 2014.
The results, from DSA's 2015 Growth & Outlook Report: U.S. Direct Selling in 2014, are based on responses from 108 direct selling companies and other sources, tabulated by economic consulting firm Nathan Associates.
Nearly any product and service can be marketed through the direct selling channel, including clothing, housewares, insurance, energy, wellness goods and jewelry.
An infographic explaining the survey results is available here; a video is available here.
About DSA
